The NY STATEWIDE DELAYED search includes felony and misdemeanor convictions from all 62 counties. This search is a very thorough search if your applicant has resided in New York.
The New York State Office of Court Administration (OCA) provides a New York Statewide criminal history record search (CHRS) for a fee of $65.00. The OCA will perform an electronic search for criminal history information from a database of criminal case records from all the boroughs and counties, including Supreme Courts and nearly every City Court. The search criteria is strictly based on exact match of Name and DOB (variations of Name or DOB are not reported). Any name and/or date of birth variations between what is in the OCA files and what is used to search the files will NOT result in a record “hit”. The search results are public records relating to open/pending and convictions of criminal cases originating from County/Supreme, City, Town and Village courts of all 62 counties. Sealed records are not disclosed. Town & Village criminal disposition data is limited.
The fee for InfoCheckUSA to perform a NY STATEWIDE DELAYED search is $14.95 + the NY OCA fee of $65.00 which equals a total of: $79.95
OCA ONLY Counties: (These counties must be searched via the OCA)
NOTE: If you need to check an APPLICANT that has lived in one of the counties above you should order the NY STATEWIDE DELAYED search. If you need to check an applicant that has lived in any other county you can order a NY COUNTY CHECK for $15.95 plus court access fee if any (the other NY COUNTIES charge from $0 to $25 access fees). The NY COUNTY search will be a single county check for the default 7year time frame.
What is the difference between the NY STATEWIDE (DELAYED) for $79.95 and NY STATEWIDE for $9.95?
The NY STATEWIDE check only checks the following:
New York Sex Offenders - The New York Sex Offender Registry contains information on sex offenders classified according to their risk of re-offending: low-risk (Level 1), moderate-risk (Level 2) and high-risk (Level 3), dating back to 1990. Data is collected from the registration agency, which may be a court, a State or local correctional facility or a probation or parole agency, or from the sex offender directly. Includes more than 3,000 offender photos.
New York Dept of Corrections - Statewide felony convictions of persons incarcerated in one of 70 state facilities and who have been released since Jan. 1, 1990. Records on approximately 400,000 persons. Records updated quarterly. Results may include defendant name, DOB, race, sex, offense description, case number, county of offense, sentence and sentence date. This file is updated quarterly.
** Also Included: Arrest Information, Warrants and Fugitive Records (Most Wanted).
NOTE: The NY STATEWIDE DELAYED is more expensive BUT more comprehensive and therefore is the recommended search.
